About I've picked up a Kodak Wratten 87 Gelatin filter - which filters out more of the visible light than the Hoya R72 or Cokin 007 - which is why I can't eak much colour out of this shot :(
I guess it would be good for people who like B&W IR - but I like colour - so I probably won't use it again.

i think it's just great! the lack of saturated color balances the shot very well. makes it more about texture and feel. this where compositon counts extra and you get the bonus points.

Sam's being nice :) I'm just a beginner.
Take a look at Peter de Ryke, Thilo Bayer, Bobby Munn or Dirck Duflon to name just a few - they do it properly!

Sally,

Sam III said on his post you were the master at IR, so I thought I would look for my self...

I do love this effect, but I know nothing about it and I have no business commenting on something I don't know about...

Thank you for your tips, as they will get me started. I really like your choice of framing...

Hi Sally. I like it. I use the Hoya R72, but the Wratten is very good for soft IR. I think you have done very well with this composition.

Regards,

Tom

Sally, I like this version. It has just a hint of color and I think it looks very nice. Very nicely presented. Don.
