Hello Fred....I have tried diligently to capture the pelican in flight...but so far all I have to show for my efforts are shots that no where come close to capturing how majestical they are. The main problem may be...that I find myself captivated...and pay very little attention to my camera, lol....Gloria

Gloria: Pelicans are one of our favorite birds. They may look comical on land but they are fantastic flyers.

Nice picture with beautiful colors. Maybe you should try to use the camera's flash to brighten up the shadow area on the birds front....Stig
