This is a terrific piece! Love the soft feel and graphic quality of it.
I'm so glad you liked my sunflower image! Most commented on the others but for me this speaks to my soul... glad it did yours as well!

Since I have recently spent a great deal of time photographing my zuchhini blossoms and because I think zuchhini blossoms are so sculpturally beautiful - I had to open this when I saw the title.
Cool!! I find these buggers difficult to photograph in the garden since they seem very sensitive to the light and I always end up with hot spots...
Wonderful detail!

Ah, the Rorschach zucchini. This time I see Hindu imagery: a full figured woman sitting in lotus position near the base with arms outstretched, a cobra looming above her which, in turn, is surrounded by dancing orange and yellow flame. These things always look better in the bottom of a skillet anyway.

Thanks Peta - I saw the same thing as it was emerging. So far I haven't created another that I like quite as well but I continue to experiment...

I love this Patricia. :) I think I mentioned before it reminds me a little of an art nouveau glass vase.

I love this...it has a surealistic quality about it that just makes me smile..I would suggest only one change and that would be to very slightly desaturate the background a bit to give the blossom more of a "pop off the Page" feel or possibly just a touch of burn to deliniate the edges of the yellow part of the flower...looks like you had fun doing this too :~)

Patricia; well, you've done very well if this is an early attempt. I love the colors and vertical streaking-- very dynamic! This is a very interesting and beautiful abstract, and the background is the perfect compliment for the subject. Your early efforts far surpass my lame attempts. Nice work!

What a first attempt. I must practice more. My images seem to get worse the more I try
