A child's pinwheel and a pinch of pixie dust?
Looks as if I missed you at the old Pied au Couchon by a semester. Too bad :-) If you are a seafood lover, try the Plateau Royal at the new incarnation of Pied. It's my favorite. There's a pretty good approximation on this side of the Atlantic at Balthazar in SoHo in NYC.
If you're staying for a week or longer and need an apt., let me know. We've spent two summers in a large and recently renovated one-bedroom apt. on Rue du Dragon a couple of blocks from the St. Germain Metro stop. It's a 4th floor walk up, so you're guaranteed some exercise, but it's exquisitely furnished, is in immaculate condition, and the Pressunic at St. Germain delivers groceries to your door. I can send you the e-mail address and phone number for the architect who did the renovation and handles rentals for the owner.
Best -Jim

The image is very soft, both technically and esthetically, a very pleasing congruence. About the cropping, you would have had the choice of making an even closer shot ( I hate this word), conveying an even more graphic expression, or a shot (!) from a little further, to respect the entire drawing lines of the flower.

I like the colours very much, but do agree regards the cropping, but it is still very lovely and thanks for sharing - Richard.

Délicat et élégant...I agree with Kaj for "too tight crop in top and bottom"....:-)

Patricia; very nice macro-- good detail, nice blossom. The water droplets add a fresh look and the background is excellent. I too would get rid of the red 'blob' in the upper right corner. The composition is a bit static being so centered, but that's a personal preference thing. I do think this shot could use a bit of sharpening (it's a digital necessity I think), and maybe a little more contrast.
I really do appreciate and value your honest and constructive ctitique of my 'Sea Bulb' pic, so please don't hesitate to continue to seriously critique my photos. It seems I was in love the composition of that one, but did not handle the white foam issue well-- seems I could either have detail in the foam or "blow it out" but not both-- maybe just need more PSP experince. Cheers. Craig

Very beautiful color, good light in foto, good sharpen on flower, but to me to tight crop in top and bottom, and I do think the red flower in upper left take some focus. Regards Kaj Nielsen
