i recognized the shop !
The Palais royal gardens are one of my favorite places, especially in summer ! There's such a nice light there, especially at the end of summer !
I suppose that you know what the boutiques etc were devoted to at the XVIIIth Century...!

Excellent image...sharp, detailed and even the window looks clean...refelection appears sharp as well...but the various tones and contrast are what I find so pleasing...the blacks look black and the whites white...the angle at first bothered me...but that quickly evaporated as the clarity of the image took over

A very meaningful image with excellent range of tones, I hope this little kid wanted only to play with soldiers, not imitate them...
PS: about my photo, thanks for your comments and you're right, if i would have lowered the point of view the shot could be better, but i was on a high point and there wasn't a way to come down a bit, only to the ground level, and from that point i would have lost the perspective from the field... not considering that the farmers wouldn't get very happy... :-) Ciao! Lorenzo

Have to agree with Rodney, this has some amazing tones. Very rich and saturated without being too contrasty. I love the mystery created by the hood and the reflections. Great shot.

This is a good black and white photograph with a lot of dark shades that could have gotten lost on top of each other. Instead, the image is clear and the child looking in the window becomes timeless.
