ooooh, look at this! very nice, sally. i still can't get over the surreal quality of ir. with and without color ;^) thanks for your comment today (or was it yesterday?). i'm embarassed because i have not gone back out there to try it again. it's been a nasty summer here in dc and nice days with blue sky and puffy clouds are few and far between. i still carry the camera with me everywhere i go, i just can't seem to find the right conditions. soon. very soon ;^)

Interesting results, Sally. Pleasant image, with some funny looking colours for an alternative perspective/reality.
When I look at it, I like the square crop, but I'm almos wishing for a more abstract approach. I think I am falling in love the the upper left quadrant of the picutre, not exactly all the way to the corner, but shifted right just far enough to include that curled petal...

A skilful, hybrid blend, of two images, Sally.
The clarity of the overall image is very effective, and creates an imaginative macro.
The petals are so detailed, that they appear artificial and stark, with your infra-red, and luminosity treatment.
A memorable, creative floral, and a sure 7.
