About A small, stuffed puppy, lost on a trail, was left in a tree at eye level. No takers, except maybe a local squirrel?

Desaturated to the point where the colour is very subtle.

Hi Fadel,
I went back last week to try a series like you guys suggested. But he is gone! Eaten by racoons maybe?

Thanks Ray,
I think this guy gets at least an 8 out of 10 on the pathos meter :)

Hi Fadel,
I might just do that... If he is still there.

Thanks Rina,
I'm giving a series some thought now that you mention it.
A few months ago, I went back to see if I could find the other two for some additional shots. I couldn't find the TRex, and the Teddy Bear had been ripped to shreads by some animal. I missed this guy all together... He must have been hiding in the tree the whole time :)

Excellent toning and as you have written, very subtle. Some child would have been very unhappy over the loss of this stuffed toy and perhaps it was tossed out of the pram as parents admired the scenery. Great detailing in it's soggy 'fur' and yet again another demonstration of your wonderful observational powers my good friend. A great opportunity seized and executed with excellence. Well done to you Andre. My very b est wishes to you as always....Ray:)

Oh the poor thing... :( How sad. The desat works well to emphasise this. Not the first time you've found one of these wretched creatures abandoned in the woods. Will you be saving this guy? You know, you could clean him up a little, pose him every now and then to show us his road to recovery...? This could be the start of a whole new adventure series Andre! :)

Hi Marcus,
I probably did walk by this guy several times when the leaves were on the trees. He does blend in with the surroundings pretty well though.
This one is in the same general area where I found a couple of other abandoned stuffed toys, I have no idea why they were left there. I had a Teddy Bear image from there a little while ago and a stuffed Tyrannasouras Rex :) They both have since been ripped to shreds by Racoons (I assume) This is the lone survivor.

Thanks Kes,
I going for the pathetic sympathy vote on this one :)
I had to go to google to search your reference to the UK minister of defense.

Your right! I don't care what they say... there are aliens walking among us.. I guess they didn't watch X-Files.
There must be a reasonable explanation for this!

Hi Andre!

Great tones my friend! Your depth of field has created patterns in the background that match the stuffed puppy's fur. Sort of a patterns in nature shot....

Well, I'm not UK ex-minister of defense, but this looks like the work of aliens. Probably getting ready to attack.

*ALL THE BEST,
:)

Thanks Dave,
We found this guy in the same general area as a couple of other abandoned stuffed animals that I shot last spring. I tried a straight image, sepia and B&W before I settled on posting this version. There was something about the desaturated version that seemed to suit it better than the rest.

Oops, looks like he's seen better days, Andre! Well seen and nicely composed, along with your use of the desaturation technique.
Dave.
