Pink and green, what a combination. Looks good enough to eat. I think it could be cropped a little bit tighter. What I'm seeing that should be cropped out is the lower right corner. And the only way is to crop out the right, just enough to do away with that area I just mentioned. It just seems to be of a lower luminance value than the rest of the composition as a whole.

You sweet man :-) I'm tickled pink to think that you were thinking of me :-) Thank you :-) Last night, watching the opening of the Olympic Games, I thought of so many UF members. UF brought a lot of people together, huh? :-) Linn

A great picture. Beautiful composition and it looks like you have highlighted the green with a warmer light or reflector. Great use of light to show the textures. Don.

YEP...saw the pink and knew it was yours. Isn't it so 'fast' when it's straight from the camera with nothing else? I feel like I'm cheating if I do that. I know, it should be the other way around, just that I like editing them. I've done a few (precious few that is)like that and marvel that that even happened! LOL
Very nice, and love the composition Linn. And what kind of ittle critter is crawling on the one petal?
Well done Linn, Lori ;)

Hi Guido Both :-) I always shoot with white balance on auto, and always shoot outdoors with natural light. Yes, the Z1 is good but it does have it's limitations. From what has been posted on the www, the new Z3 seems to be quite the camera in it's price class. We are waiting for it to arrive in South Africa and then we will get the Z3

That Minolta Dimage Z1 is a beautiful camera Linn. Is that auto white balance or daylight? In Belgium we only have about 10 bright sunny days a year with blue blue sky,so the daylight whitebalance of my canon is never good. Nice natural colour,I like the frame too.

Just amazing, you can see every little checkerboard petal in such detail. If you had not pointed this out, it might not be so noticeable to the naked eye. Beautiful composition and soft lighting. Alison
