This photograph was made in the eastern foothills of Mount Washington, in New Hampshire. I had just returned from the summit, and was busy hunting for a good composition. A small lake was just about to begin to reflect the setting sun, and the clustered wildflowers gave it a nice foreground object of interest. I did shoot a couple of compositions which are a bit subtle compared to this one. And then the sky was on fire for a brief moment of about 2-3 minutes. This is the best one of the shots I made. The colors in the photograph are purely natural. The sky has been accentuated due to the long exposure through a 3-stop HS Singh-Ray grad ND filter. I did some dodge burn to bring out a few more details in the distant hills. Thank you for your time and critiques, please visit http://rajekar.ca for more landscape photographs.
