Hampi is a boulder-strewn ruins of a former mediveal empire in southern India. During the 14th-15th century, artwork here rivalled the best in the world. There are fabulous temples and royal palaces that have been simply made from carved rock placed on top of each other. But the countryside is ripe with smaller creations too, and the one in this photograph is one of them. It is most probably a shelter of some sort built for actually observing sunsets, and probably served no other purpose. I loved the tranquility in the scene, and the fact that no artificial man-made materials can be found in the photograph. Your comments are greatly appreciated
