Beautifully detailed and a great shot to add to your collection of barns. Barns and yourself are synonymous.....and when I see the very rare UK (or Irish one lately) I find myself thinking of you sweetie. It is sad that they are moving into decline but that's the penalties of modernisation I guess. You have capture the signs of aging in this one very well and chosen a good perspective to compose. Well done to you Kathy.....All the best....Ray

Great shot from a cool, unique angle. All that barn needs is a coat of paint and (maybe) some duct tape! Seems wasteful to let them slip into such disrepair, though it happens often and makes good photo fodder for the rest of us!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

What did you upgrade to? I finally got my canon 30D and I love it!! I am hoping to get out over this long weekend and get some pics!
You are right there are so many great farm lands around our cities and the rustic barns are always my favorite! I am hoping to head over towards the poulse this year to get some of those rolling wheat fields which is another of my favorites. ~Happy Weekend to you!

Hi Melisa, Thanks for the nice words! This is a different barn, but I like that guarded feel, too. We have sooooo many barns in our county. One of these days soon I plan to get out (with the new camera) and just shoot barns. Kathy

Is this the same barn as your last one. It is just as guarded as they other. I love how the trees are making use out of the abandon place. Love these rustic structures!

One of our local dairy farms posts a sign above the barn door: "the udder barn," and that's next door to the "mootel!" Of course, I do like this "other barn" and the silky smooth print. Eb

and a nice old one you found,Kathy...like the diagonal, the even lighting, the vibrant green hues and the weathered look of the barn wood...you should have enough barn pics for a calendar,eh? been rainy down my way for a few days/nights and cooler temps after high 80's/sunny for a week or so...regards,gayle
