Even better then Kathy, That Gausian blur trick does sometimes add that foggy, hazy look. That's why I asked if you used it. Good job! Andre

Hi Andre, Nope...I didn't add a guassian blur. The morning just had a slight hazy look to it, and it came through in the shot. Thanks for the nice words! Kathy

A classic Pacific NW scene! I love the low angle that works with the Dof. Leading lines take you right into the bridge

This is really nice Kathy! I like the ripple effect on the rails and the way that the old leaves are still on the tracks, indicating that the line is not in use any more. (or very seldem) Also, the way the tones change off in the distance to that whispy, foggy look is very effective. Did you lay a slight gausian blurred layer over this one? It almost looks as though you might have. Regardless, very well done! Andre

Beauuuuutiful perspective! It takes me to the end of the world! What I love most are the colours in the trees! They are going to be green soon, but these winter hues are a marvel of nature too. Thanks for visiting my postings so often. It gives me great pleasure that you pay attention. Best regards, YT

Yet another of your marvelous "rail shots". I am enjoying this one as much as the others. In this particular instance I like the backdrop of trees behind the bridge, as well as the interesting old rails. The focal length used brings the backdrop forward and flattens it I think, creating an impression of a vertical mountain landscape in the shot, leading the eye upward and causing a flight of imagination for me. Nice one!

Beautifully composed my dear Kathy with a truly wonderful perspective. I particularly love the way the shot erupts diagonally out of the corners to converge up by the bridge. Details and colours are great and show the telltale signs of Spring knocking at the door. Well done to you sweetie, my very best wishes as always....Ray

very good perspective shot and the low angle gives it a differnt effect. very good low light too and the shadow divides this rail almost at half..Wonderful. Really a great capture, with a very good vanishing point, the scenery is exceptional, love the mountain and trees at the backgound. lots of pattern too, I like the rusty nails that holds the rail.. the bridge ahead, the vanishing point, is also very attractive. The center and symmetrical composition works well with this capture.. I cannot compose my sentences and comment well, there is so much to say about this photo. in short, I like it alot.. regards...

A wonderful perspective shot, Kathy, but I really like the surrounding scenery with those great colours and lighting. The bridge down the tracks in front of the misty hillside is perfect. Dave.

Fine perspective of the railways, Kathy, I especially like the painterly quality of the background which results from special light conditions and the telephoto effect. Goes to my favorites: György

Fantastic image, Kathy. The low angle from which it was shot was extremely effective in portraying the converging tracks! And the shaded, repeated lines of the sleepers are very good. And the overall brownish tint makes the image very warm.

Really nice online too Sissy. I can't get over the effect of the tracks, it's so cool. It looks like a really pretty oil painting. Good one as usual. You guys are sure finding some neat places. ) I can't wait to see it with the train pasted in...hint...hint... (I kinda cheated on mine tonight...not "really" a cafe kid but what the heck. I wanted to get it off the computer.)
