Josep

This is a very nice, inventive variation on the theme "Fall Colors", Kathy. The encounter of the gutter and the dead leaves gives a deeper, philosophical meaning to the picture - beside being very attractive, too. Best regards, György

I have often seen your name and thought I'd visit
you. You have got some wonderful material in your portfolio.
This is an especially pleasing abstract, the colours and details are stunning in this simplistic and creative composition.

Eye stopping image. Very nice tones and composition. It is almost as if you can reach through the monitor and actually touch the leaves.

What a strong composition, and awesome colours... the rust just adds to the fall motif.
Love how the lines pull me into the photo, and around the leaves!

Like one of your visitors below said, "it pays to look down"! And it really did! You turned something very common (and at times very dirty) into an artistic shot! Splendid angle - my favourite - and the colour of the wet grate as well as its patterns brought forward by the presence of the coloured leaves, as if ennobled all of a sudden. This is a favourite with me!
Best wishes from Gabriela

This shot should be an inspiration to those who sometimes think they have run out of subjects or things to photograph. Well done Kathy.

I LOVE the title. I had went around for the past few days trying to capture the leaves that have fallen. I took an image of one on a grate-but it doesn't even compare to this one. I like the way you have placed the grate at a diagonal and also the way the "arms" of the one leaf are reaching out as if trying to pull itself back out again. Nicely done~

Wow! This is outstanding, Kathy! Your shots keep getting better and better! (Been to Bow-Edison plenty of times too, ridden my bike through it anyway). :)

This is probably my favorite shot of yours so far! Simply outstanding!

The twins are doin' OK, getting really big! I'll be getting some more pics of them up here soon. :)

That is Ok you can spend as much time as can as long as you present such beauty from simple things. I like the lines associated with the falling leafs with such autumn colors. Great work Kathy. Cheers.

Nice composition Kathy. The regular abstract pattern of the grate is so attractively interrupted by the fall leaves. Nice shooting angle on this. I like the square frame with the grill viewed corner-to-corner. Makes for a nice perspective and has tons more appeal than if you'd shot the grate straight on. Also helps that the grate is sort of fall-color-coordinated with the leaves. Lots of interest in this shot! Congrats.

It's pictures like these that remind me that there's more to shoot than landscapes, people and stars. Impressed with the lighting and it's just a very good angle. Good job.

GRATE fall composition, Kathy! I love the pattern and rusty color of the grille, and the fall leaves are just wonderful! But I like the most is the wetness, giving a sense of reality, of tangibility, of the fall season. I'm very fond of the stamped letters, anything like that, and this composition has it all: fall color, texture, pattern! Love it! Excellent! 7/7 Ina
