Great Composition Kathy. I alway's pass up alot of great looking trees due to the trunk area not being as neat as I would like, I love the way that you have eliminated this problem and still captuted the beauty of the tree. And the backdrop that you have selected for this photo is also stunning.

It's nice to know that someone out there is keeping such close tabs on me, Ann! It's been a busy weekend of catering for Susie and I, but we had our final catering job last night...and boy, are we excited! Now we are on to another venture...gluttons for punishment I guess!

Hi Kathy. This is a very pleasingly-shaped tree to make into a silhouette. The pastel colors in the sky behind it really add to this too. I think i am seeing a bit of ghosting/halo from a bit too much sharpening. There is a large spot in the UL sky that is probably a dust spot & a small one in the UR that are worth cleaning up to make this really an outstanding image.
