What an image Ian. Is this guy telling me the meaning of life and I can't hear it?

Yes same. It reminds me of an old poetry book printed in the seventies that I had been reading when I floated it. I've got a few comments from people a bit appalled I chopped the poets head off. I could rationalise he writes from the heart (which is true) but I was cropping to suggest he is a giant which this particular poet is in New Zealand. Some one who stood up in our very reserved rural colonial macho culture and won everyone over.
Nice to hear from you Zoltan. Someday those school texts will be prized and quaint relics.

Reminds me of the pictures from my literature books, 17 years ago:) Those damn' communist books were printed on such a low quality, that the "noise" was very fat, just like in this image. As a technique it is a great image, but I don't read headless poets.
Greetings,
Zoltan

When I saw this photograph instant falshback to a time in years past when I did a lot of hitch hiking -thumbing rides from point A to B. For some reason this photo reminds me of the day when I lived at Montreal running away from home and snuck across the American Border with two other friends. I believed we had around 6 dollars between us. It was damn awful snowy day which is why your photo is cool to me.

Expressive treatment. I like how the overall grain makes the guy and street one, parts of the same element so to speak.

Legless fine Ian but this faceless image, and of a poet no less, expresses an idea that is not? immediate. Maybe a metaphor for the soundless voice... the poet unheard unseen in the background noise of the city.
