Hi Susie, Thanks for your input again. With "adding filter" I assume you are talking about PhotoShop? I don't have that program, but do have Gimp and it has some features that I should experiment with, that might come close to what you have in mind. All the best, Kes

Hi Kes, I was just reading the comments on this one. (and your about) I agree with Angelo. At first I thought you had already altered the image to give it an impressionist feel. But, maybe you could even go a couple of steps further? I think in this case you can make a silk purse out of a sows ear. It does seem to have a lot of potential. Andre

I really like your composition here. It might be fun to play with this one...adding filters? Maybe a watercolor or dry brush? It already has a painting feel to it. It would be a shame not to use this image even without the sharpness.

Hi Wez,
Yes, your wife may reproduce "duel" in a painting. I'll be looking for that shot!

How about that tripod, Sammy?
The DSC-P150 Sony allows some manual control, then takes over. Grrrrr.
That's as small as it would go. Took a few with the F1...had some expired (by years) B&W in it, lol...
practice.

Hi Angelo,
Thanks for your comment, and while I didn't try blurring it (good idea!), I did apply a "film grain" effect. Decided it already had enough grain, and removed it.

Beautiful Kes!
Wonderful composition. Saturated but muted colors.
You had a tripod for once :-) Why didn't you use a smaller aperture?

I dunno... I feel the noise adds to the atmosphere, in a way. However, I do agree with you that the image lacks a lot of sharpness.
Nice colour splashes, anyway. How about deliberately blurring this for a more "impressionistic" feel?
