What's holding you back, Richard? Surely you are as free to come to Usefilm (and go) as you please? At first I thought you meant you were close to going back to using film.

A fine presentation of this little yellow beauty. You certainly like those fast emulsions! We ought to take away all your lenses over f5.6.
I am "this" close to coming back to usefilm. It wouldn't take much to push me over the edge!

Well done Roger! My best,..................John

Yes, Rodger. The "d" in your name jogged my memory. It was an even closer macro than this, against a blue sky, no? But definitely a flower like this one. It was one of those shots that started to shake me out of my rangefinder rut. Made me want to take some macros. Eventually I got an SLR and now I have a macro lens, but I find possessing the tools is not enough; macros aren't at all easy! (But then, what is!)

If the budget will run to it, get the Epson 3200F film scanner! It's fast and convenient... and gives excellent results if you sidestep all the automatic features, which tend to get in the way.

Good try anyway, I bought a second hand Canon EOS 50E and used Superia 200. All I need is to see the result and find myself a scanner (buy one) I think of a flatbed.
