Beautiful Laurie, and already black and white! This is so soft (not in focus but feel) that I want to caress the flower to feel the softness for myself. Good use of black on white contrast to great effect in bringing out the flower. Richly detailed too. Just wonderful...

Hi Jacquie, I think your problem might be the use of table lamps as a light source. Often, those will cast a yellow light on the subject being photographed. I think your best bet might be to shoot outside in natural light. I shot this on a cloudy day with no flash and I didn't have to adjust the color at all. Hope this helps! :)

Hi Laurie,was after some advice.I tried to take some pics of a white lily but only got 1 that was close to true colour,rest turned out yellow! Used macro mode,A setting.No flash,side lighting with table lamp.s.1/10 f.8. Any handy hints! :)
