About Subject background: Taken at the Blue Night in Nuremberg. Well, this is actually red. The color came out when I scanned the BW neg as a color neg. As I like the outcome, I stayed with the red. You see the new museum, twice. above the real one, below the reflection in a wet marble stone.

PS concept: crop. played around with the saturation and some adjustment layers (high pass filtered background layer with hard lights blend mode)

I really struggled with the project. Night Photography, Toycam, Unusual Vision, Reflections.. SIGH!

Some technical background: The picture was taken with the Holga on a tripod. Bulb setting with manual timing of about 1 second.

Hi Stefan,

ah, there are different versions?

I only know the ones that also have flash (lol, flash!) or where you can attach filters. Mine is the basic one.

Carlheinz even has a modded Holga where you can use the focus nearer than 1 meter. ;_)

the Holga has a bulb setting ;-)

So I meatured the exposure with the D70, did some math and then exposed manually for about 1 second.

I love this unusual vision of the reflections in the night ;)
It?s a bit scary maybe because the shade of red and the effect of the holga make it seems as if the building is on fire and we are looking at it through the hot blaze?
and those people are gathering at the meeting point!
