Hi Hugo,
I feel flattered that you wrote this in-depth analysis here. You know that I'm normally not the "naturalistic" guy... my pictures are always creepy stuff ;-) So I wasn't too sure if this one would be interesting to the viewers.
Reading your analysis, it seems that my concerns were "false". glad you liked it.
about the centering: Standing there I didn't have any clue what to do ;-)
take care, Thilo

Hey bro,
glad you liked my relatively simple "natural" style here. as for the lens: actually, I haven't paid a cent up to now =) Just borrowed this one and stay tuned for a good offer on ebay.
take care, Thilo

Hi Thilo, There are a couple of things I find very appealing in this shot.
First, the panoramic crop of a single W/A photo, which takes it out of the ordinary, compared to the stiched panoramic shots.
Secondly, the colour depth and saturation are excellent. Both the sun lit areas as well as the shady parts are very well exposed.
Third, the atmosphere, created by the threatening, wind swept sky, with the rainbow in the fountain.
I can't come up with a different suggestion, let alone a better one, but I do feel a bit ambiguous about the centered composition (Hey! That's a surprise...;o)) Only a minor thing, as it works well, and is probably the best solution anyway. Besides, the people in this scene add a nice lively element. Very nice shot!
Cheers,
Hugo

Crisp like hell and sky is falling. I like the 3-dimensional feeling and the sky rocks. BTW, I paid a lot more for my 14mm L from Canon... C.

Hi Ursula,

Thx, Thilo

Hi Steve,
to be honest: I haven't bought this lens just lend it from a colleague. 750+ euros is a bit hard to spend for wide angle fun ;-)
take care und thx for the feedback, Thilo

Fabulous photo Thilo, the 14mm captures this perfectly. The level of detail is amazing - I like this very much.
14mm sounds very appealing, but my wife would kill me if I went out and bought a DSLR lol
Best wishes Steve

Hi Thilo,
