About If you get very lost one day, you too may see this.

It's the bridge from Morley to Batley that gtoes over the M62.

I noticed a little fog on the way home last night and decided that it may have potential, so decided to have a drive to this place as I knew there was a curved bit west bound, and this straight eastbound.

Exposure....

Manual, F16, 15 seconds at ISO 100 on a 10D.

Post processing was mainly meddling with some filters I got on DCmag this month. Ended up frustrated with them and blended them in wierd ways and got these complimentary colours. Worth a post to see what you all think I though....

PS..

Got the option of a Sigma 15-30 for £272 delivered. Should In get it bearing in mind the cost of 82mm filters... or get a Canon one that has a smaller filter ring?

crikey - that's a bit steep???

Though IS lenses are a bit more I guess.... the par of my lenses were 272+190 and that's from 15-85mm in total. New in Jessops they are £300+£400 mind.

I've got an aging 50-200 that will be up for grabs when I get the new 24-85. Give you a good price on that - check it out tomorrow.

Here's another blue sky shot... it rained before I got back to the office!!!

Hey, how come you have blue skys and are only about 9miles away ??? It was pouring down here earlier lol

Lens looks a sure winner - just tried to barter down this chap with the 10D and two IS lenses. He wont budge at all under £1k :-(

Catch u later,

Steve

Cheers Steve

I shall be doing more this evening I'm sure.

One tip I've learned from a book (Low Light Photography) is to take a black card and set the following on the camera...

ISO 100
F16
Bulb

Open up the shutter and clip it open using the cable release. When card aren't there, put the card in front of the lens, when one appears, take the card away and let it expose the full distance.

If you're on a darkish strecht of road, you probably don'e need the card, but on the M62 the street lights would burn out eventually.

Top book, gives recommeneded exposures for every night situation. e.g. full moon = F8 ISO100 1/125... thought it'd be longer myself.

Got the 15-30, amazing piece of kit. Just went out at lunch and took a few snaps. Here's one of Millennuim square. Will be filling cards like mad tonight!

Just got to keep them tasteful!

See you tomorrow, bright and early

Ade

PS - if I oversleep I can still get to R'hay pretty quick (20 mins after rush hour) + will try to remember the filters disk of Digi Cam Mag

Cheers Pete.

I got quite a few like this but the extra colours from blending layers in PS made this one stand out for me - hope if does for others too.

I'm torn about the 15-30 lens - I imagine what this image could be like as this was taken at 90mm (on a 10D). At 15 it's be 6 times wider! Could be an amazing effect!

thanks again

Ade
