About Strange name for a road I guess, but this has been a well worn track for centuries. It's the link between the vilages of Wiswell and Pendleton, near Clitheroe, and also one of the routes taken be monks walking from Sally Abbey in Sawley to Whalley Abbey.

Taken on Xmas day at around 5 PM (after the turkey settled), I added a bit of internal fill flsh to highlight the falling flakes.

Did a crop and Channel Mixed it to get the Mono - and fnially used a "Virtual Photographer" filter to get the soft dreamy focus look.

Great image Ade and your PS work on it is outstanding. I love the car tracks in the freshly fallen snow. Those and the B/W rendering bring out the solitude of the scene. Well done.

A very Landscape masterpiece! a moody and silent atmosphere. The thumbnail format doesn't honour the beauty of your work..when i have opened it, i have said "wow!!" :-)
Compliments and thanks for the very interesting about. 7++,

Lovely composition, and a great tone. Managed to avoid any snow down here. Beginning to wish we'd had a bit. Really nice shot. Well done.

Hi Ade, The picture really does demonstrate the age of the area and the many superstitions that surround the Pendle area. You've really managed to use what light you had to great effect. All the best for 2005 and sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you earlier. Regards, Nidge.
