About Went paddling today to leave the days worries behind. Nothing like being on the water all by yourself to let things come into focus and let fears melt away. I guess life is like the surface of a pond, sometimes its turbulent and rough bringing all your fears to bear. Nothing to do but to ride it out and wait for the cool glassy surface to calm itself down so that you can see your reflection with more clarity.
See what comes to mind when you go paddling? Now if i could be like that when the shit hit the fan i'd have a way smoother life.

HI Elly,
Yes this is a wonderful looking area! And yes we do have many places by the sea just like this. In fact in eastern canada there is RED sand which makes it more of a feast for your eyes.
Warm regards, Tim

beautiful Tim. I love how the water is so still & yet so busy with all those lilies. The shadow across the foreground is great - emphasising the contrast between the cool colours in the shade & the warm tones of the lilies still in sunlight. There's so much going on here but it works, i think because the composition is so simple & there's this great stillness to the piece. Well done! :O)

Beautiful, I love the bits of blue and orange scattered about amongst the green. Nature sure can create some beautiful patterns.

So lovely. I can imagine this as a huge jig-saw puzzle. A boat in the upper third would be ideal. Maybe next time.

I love how the foreground give such nice detail and color. Then going into the crystal clear reflection, once again to have the eye drawn to a line of lilly pads and finallt the sunlit trees with rippled water to draw us in. Beautiful! I love your description of the photo. Alison

Nice shot Tim, and your reflection/comments on the day are great as well, very introspective. The red pads on the water add a nice touch,

Very poetic and true ! And whay is life upside down ?. You see Tim my take is why do you retire when you are worn out from working 45 years and raising a family ? I think you should get out of high School and Retire. Live on a special fund and social Security till you are 60, then go to work pay back the fund and work till you buy the farm. I think they know something.
Oh BTW
Great photo, I miss the peaks but there is beauty in the flatlands
