It's actually a very famous place. In the 70's and 80's it was a popular scene for gay cruising and pick up scene for straights. The phenomenon was well documented in the Armistad Maupin books, "Tales of a City" and the actual location was used for filming in the PBS film version of the books. Interesting huh?

Thilo, Thanks. This is pretty much straight out of the camera. If anything, I toned down the yellow a bit in post. I shot it in Cloudy sky WB mode, which tends to warm things up a bit on my D-100. Cheers Man.

Thanks for the comment Tim. It was a strange 4 hour layover in Amtsterdsam that found me there at 7 in the morning. It was sort of creepy, dark and rainy, like our girl.
