thanks so much for the comments. actually the only PS here was levels and just a touch of added saturation. that's it. i think that's why i was drawn to the outcome here. it looks somehow "fake" or "manipulated".

Really enjoyed the upper part, but botton seens to have some work from PS... perhaps to avoid shadows? Anyway a great picture. Your client should be very happy.

I think it is absolutely beautiful, both the object itself and the image. The colour and lighting are lovely and the detail and clarity - particularly in the gold filigree is wonderful.
