About This mill was Built and Maintained by the Davidson family. Its located just off Hiway 13 in Northern Wisconsin. I beleive it was used as a grist mill for the wheat that was produced in this area .

I take it then that your mills are much larger, this one is about 8 to 10 meters high. and the onlyt one i have ever seen around here. it was built and maintained by a Finnish Family.

Great white against the blue sky and lush greens. I love the wild flowers in the foreground - it blends in beautifully with the green grass, and give a softer feel to the strong structure of the windmill.

Beautifully captured Jim.

It must be the Dutch in me ! Though my name is Danish, I have no Danish blood, Swede,Norsk from my Dad ,Irish, Scotch, Dutch from my Mother. This is because My Grandfather came here from Norway and his name was Christoferson, there were to many of them here so he changed the name. This is the only windmill around here I am aware of. the Funny thing its not even close to water , the closest is a river way down the hill.

Ohhh...this is lovely! Fantastic composition, the trip through the wildflowers, then the tall lush grass to stand at the base of this amazing sturcture on a beautiful summer day was fun :). The light on the windmill is excellent...great capture Jim....Gloria
