About OK ! Not all things in nature are pretty. This is one of them, however it is a part of the big picture. To me they look like a bald Eagle that you rip the head off of and stuff on the ugliest head you can find. They are graceful in the air but static on a fence post is another story.

Haha you are right, it does look ugly... but also cute in a way! Maye this is what they call "He has a face that only a mother could love"! ;-))

No, seriously... it's actually really cute! And who are we to decide what is ugly... Maybe he looks perfect and WE are the ugly ones!

Great capture, Jim! Very interesting and original bird, and excellent details!

Wonderful capture. I have never seen one of these guys sitting still unless they were eating.

Very good detail Jim.
This is the closest shot I have seen, I have a couple but I was never able to get a close up like this.
Great capture and thanks for sharing it.

Hey, that's amazing. You never get to see these up close and personal. No, they ain't pretty, but yes, this photo shows him to his best advantage.

Nice job.

One ugly bird, Jim but I suppose someone loves him. Very sharp shot and out of focus background gives a tremendous effect. Terrific!!

LOL!! Only a 'mom vulture' could love this face!! However, they do play a big part in nature, the natural garbage disposal!

Great clarity with this 'stately' bird!! I think the post and barbs are great for this guy!
Nice image,
Lori :)

Looks like he ran headlong into that post before he sat on it, Jim!!
The photo, as ever, is a quality image and a joy to view.
Best regards, Chris
P.S. I'm still working on that tape and hope to send you a CD of my music too.

they are one ugly bird but necessary in the scheme of things. We don't have any of them right around this area. Great isolation from the background. Don
