Good Morning Gloria and a fine morning at that....FRIDAY..whoohooo.....
I read a persons opinion on UF.....to rate a image a 7 is to say that there is no room for improvement, the image is perfect...
Well I believe that any image could have been better, a cloud an shadow so on so on.....
This makes so much sense to me.
I know that UF staff have battled hard with this rating system and I give them credit and wouldn't want there job on this one.
But......I as of now don't believe in this system at all.
I don't know of a rating system that you rate as a improvement and it shows as a negative.
5.9 + 6 = 5.8 ?
If the rating system takes away what I'm trying to project then I guess that my rate was useless to start with.
Well I'm sorry for babbling on about this, I just came from the forums and read the posts and I still have no beliefs in the system anymore.

Good Morning Lee...the rating system is described several times in the Forums section, but it is still confusing to most people. It is a combination of the number of views, number of comments, number of ratings and then a little hocus pocus, lol. In my short time here, I have learned to ignore the ratings on my photos and others, and pay much more attention to the views and the comments...but thank you for the six, and your kind words.....Gloria

Very strange rating system, was at a 5.9 I rated this image a 6 and it took you to a 5.8.
I think I'm going to quit rating images all together. That or just rate everything a 7

This is such a lovely scene with such a great title, the idea of a volleyball net is so incongruous I had to laugh and laugh. It's so nice how you got the reddish line in the sky to rise up over the weedy hump on the beach. Very beautiful.

Thank you Pam...Now make sure you pay real close attention to the next few sunset shots I upload, because with...your expertise in portrait, my Florida sunsets and yes Bill's direction..I think we can create a lovely treasured moment for a special friend and her cowboy! I have ruled out this beach...it has a very limited view of the gulf.......Gloria
