My, that water looks cold!! A strong wintry feel to this one, Lori! Best regards, Chris

Hi Lori, the drainage channel can be seen by the curving in of the stones. You used this as a natural diagonal into the image. Which works very well. Regards, Graham. PS feel free to point out problems in my images, that's how I learn.

A cold blue image with high lighting levels which I also find very appealing. Think the horizon needs rotating to the left a little. Regards, Graham.

I also tend to favor higher contrast imagery, but I agree that this one works. One tiny thing...your horizon is not level.

Lovely scene of a beautiful deserted beach. I've never liked crowed places and a beach where you can walk all alone has alys a particular fascination for me. I like the way you composed this image and, above all I like the light blue tones combined with grey and white. Great capture, Lori

Hi Lori, Can't say I find this one "flat". The repetition of colours form an excellent theme; the blue of the lifeguards' post with the blue of the thundering ocean. The deserted beach only adds a special atmosphere. Very well captured... Only at my third or fourth look at this photo, I noticed the ever so slight tilt in the horizon....;) The hard light and short shadows increase the atmosphere of abandonment and solitude. Very well captured, and a lovely scene for sure..... My compliments!
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Lori Great scenery, I like these blue and grey tones and also the framing, which is fitting perfectly (hope my English is not too bad...). You always change an ordinary scene to an interesting extraordinary picture! My compliments. Best regards, Brigitte

It's easy to see why this is so appealing to you. It's as if no one is present here, not even the photographer. Richard Dean
