I love your Minolta also. And mine too. Now, I always shoot my photos in the DMF mode since you reminded me of this feature on our cameras. Excellent focus on this shot.

A perfect example of minimal DOF. The lighting and tone are great. DOF is the most beautiful aspect of photography, thats why I bought my new camera.

About your question on my picture "Lilly".. Actually I don't like to take photos with flash, but this time, I just forgot to change the setting, and took it with the flash... and luckily it didn't look that bad.. ;)
About the light you feel it's coming from the right, I'm not sure, but maybe it's from the glass door on the right side of the flower...

it is interesting! details and colors and DOF are interesting in here, i agree with Ameed, u are showing the muscles of ur minolta, its really great when u know ur camera very well and get close to every function in it. good presentaion.
