About Taken at about 6 PM when the sun was setting and this storm began to arrive over the mountains. My friend and I drove to about 15 miles north of Tucson (near Catalina State Park) to take this.

thanks guys.

the sillhouette is not there in the original slide. the scanner did a terrible job about that...in the original you can see the original grass blades and tree leaves (though obviously darker than the sky, it still shows up on the slide). i did take a pure sky shot...i'll scan it and see what i can do with it.

this sky scene will be unforgettable to me.

Great colours and wonderful clouds. Stormy sunsets create great photo ops. I am not crazy about the silhouette though. It's not visually interesting enough to hold my attention. In the absence of a good silhouette for a great sky like that, I think the focus should be more on the sky. An abstract, pure sky shot might work. Or, use just a sliver of flat ground at the bottom to ground the shot.
