thank you for your comments:). andy, the actual natural lighting that day was indeed very blue. this is very close to how it really looked in real life.

John, I think the colours in this photo are great and
the railings lead the eye right up to the lamp. Just stunning.

I do like the lines in the composition and the light from the lamppost is well placed. However, I do think the color balance is off because there is a very heavy blue cast.

Wow! That sky looks surreal! I like so many things about this photo: the convergence of lines, the subtle warm glow cast on the pathway by the light and the position of the light itself. Compositionally, I wouldn't change a thing.

A very nice moment (and well judged exposure)! :-)
