I might have thought yours was an autoportrait too, Dave, a modern one. Mine was, as I saw when it was already too late, mis-spelled...

Crisp and clear, like the weather!
Do you know if this guy had studs on his tires? There is a way to make studded snows for mountain bikes using self tapping screws screwed from the inside out and then covered with thick layer of flexible silicone on the inside before you put the inner tube in. I always wanted to try it.

Excellent shooting my dear Dave and well composed. I love those few warm tones that give us a contrast to the whiteness. Brrr, that is a lot of snow you have. We have snow falling here in the south of England, not a sight we see often. I went out for a few hours this morning and took some shots but I will investigate them later on. Good definition and well contrasted details, Dave! The cyclist surely stands out very well - ge really pops out in front of the background. I don't know if the snow on the bottom or the woods on the top should better be more/less. I tend to a more zoomed-in version but this would lower the impact of the depth and the perspective. Perhaps limting the DoF on him?? Hard to say here...
Anyway, well exposed and good details.
