Thank you so much Ricardo!
You are most kind to reply to me. Yes, I understand. Half of the gltches in my current porgramme are to do with layering/blending. The BG is not agreeing with the layers for some unknown reason (works fine on my other computer that is out of action as I mentioned.)
Once I have that machine back (hopefully) and the PS 7 "complying", (with blending options etc..), I shall see what I can do with this image, as it is one of my favourite portriaits of this lovely model.
Again, warm thanks and appreciation of your time, Aniko :)

Hello Aniko, does not make lack last photoshop to correct this. In order to make a reserve of the eyes so that the effect does not affect so much, you only must apply the texture effect on layer copy of background, in such a way that once applied the effect you can partially erase smooth and the parts of the photo in where you do not want that the effect so is marked, so hard, in this case, the eyes. The original photo in background always agrees to work on layer copy leaving to resort to her in case of emergency or to recover something of the original one. Greetings, Ricardo

Thank you very much Ricardo!
Yes, I agree... the eyes are the most important thing. It is partly why I worked this image in the first place. Let me explain please.
Since I scanned the orginal print, I have tossed it into a pile somewhere in my terrible mess (embarrassing) and I can't locate it now. I was going to rescan it (have deleted original from my harddrive) to show you that the hair in the original shot covers this young lady's VERY pale blue/green eyes almost entirely. I have very much darkened them in the PS work... I agree they could stand out even more, but how would you suggest I do this as the wisps of her hair are difficult to work around??? I have actually "taken a few out" from the original photograph for the purpose of highlighting the eyes more! I really appreciate your comments and suggestions. I have only PS 7 and it has quite a few "glitches". Working on a very old temporamental computer here in the hope that my better one will soon be fixed (if it is possible), where I have programmes that are more efficient and also a lot more harddrive space!~
Thank you for reading, if you got through my long ramble.
Best Wishes to you, Aniko :)

Aniko, what you have made is something completely valid, there are nested a portrait that of for yes it was already very interesting for the intensity of the look and for the composition. I perhaps had reserved the eyes so that the texture doesn't invade them too since, I eat I already told you, the eyes are the most important thing in this picture and I think that it would be necessary to highlight them a little more, but this is only my opinion. Greetings :)

Yes James... he did do that sort of thing, I know. Poor Marilyn... lol!
And nah... maybe not with this image... I already looked at them as a duo (the two you have seen here) and I don't like the way they look together. The third would also be out of place in my opinion. However, you have challenged me to make an image of someone/something else in that "style". I think it would be a square with four images in it. Thinking... thinking... (when I should be sleeping sleepng!) :) :) :)

I never said I liked Worhol. I was just calling his image to mind because he's done sort of what I was talking about. I think he did four Marylins or something, if memory serves.
I would try it out and we'll be your expert judges.

Dear LUIS!
I use no plugins, just the standard filters in my ancient version of PS, but I understand your point. I know that a "bad" image cannot be improved no matter what one does with it.
I do like to "play" in PS. It is fun to alter images, to "paint" then, "freshen them up"...
Your wonderful comments touch me deeply Dear LUIS! Warm thanks from my heart to yours.
Kisses and hugs to you from MS Aniko Heart :) :) :)

Thanks Roger... :)
I chose the title with great deliberation. I believe it fits the slight sadness of the model. How are you reading the title?
DO you trust me?
Do YOU trust me?
Do you TRUST me?
Do you trust ME?
etc etc etc...
Perhaps feeling a little sad... the question of "Am I trusted?"
Yes, I also like the idea James had, but please see my reply to him regarding it.
Thank you VERY much for your interest and comments. Always appreciated.
Cheers! Aniko :)

Hi there Jo!
Hehehe... see... now you actually felt what I was "getting at" with the title. Indeed, although there might be a hint of sorrow, often people feeling sad also feel very vulnerable, and therefore are in "defensive/aggressive" mode as a means to protect themselves. In some ways they will therefore indeed portray the "Go on I dare ya!" look...
And thank not only for your wonderful comments, but also for your ORDER (lol) for me to sleep... I did... :)
Big Hugs~ Aniko :)

I like your abstract and have commented on it James.
I'm not terribly keen on Warhol... don't gasp and faint! LOL! AlsoI am not sure doing a trio on this image would "work"... But I like your suggestion.
I did a quintuplet side by side (long frame, and non can cyber post as it would look tiny and totally lose detail....) It is called "Waning Moon". The images go from left to right with the first being the "full" image, and the last barely visible. All done in the physical darkroom using splatter development. It looks OK! Here is one pic from that quintuplet...

Let me see..... When I begin the photoshop edition, one of my teachers told me...be care with the use of the plugins...in that case was the painter filters.- The temptation i really big. Why ? Well we can't believe that a bad capture could be good adding the plugin.- But in this case we have a good angle in the capture and the eyes are looking the camera, and at least the lips of the model, well done.- Maybe there are not many details in the face, but the plugin don't benefit that question.- Then when we use a paint plugin we must yake cae with the details assuming that many of the could lost when you apply the fitler- Is this case.- But as you said digital retouching must be a PLAY, like the painters...each author must fly like a bird...in some place will e the result.- The feels are other question.- Is a sad image and the blue is perfect.- At the end..... I could past all the nigth talking about the image....... It emotion me...the portrait have some PUNCH, to the Hearth...OF US...Mrs. Aniko.......... HEART.- Kiss and warmest hugs.- LUIS

to me .. she looks sad and trust is not the issue so a simple retitling of the image should do the trick.. from that regard I like the coolness fo this and the warmth in the other.. I think in summary that James idea is a winner

Nope certainly don't!! :-) I like the attitude - thought she had more of a 'go on i dare ya!' look than sadness about her. Great dramatic shot only helped by the PS work m'dear! Like it a lot! Now get some sleep! :-) Sweet dreams. Big hugs, Jo x

I agree. I think the blue tones worked better. You could try doing one of those tripartite things where the same picture is repeated thrice, each being a different color scheme. Sort of like this one:
http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1261366
except yours would be three pictures in one row with the colors in each being much different. Go extreme; think Warhol.

Hi Dear Nicole!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous comments.
Yes, perhaps she does look a little sad. Maybe that is why I chose the mainly blue toned version to emphasise this??? And the title can be ambiguous too... sorrow will often ask the question: "Do you trust me?"... or perhaps... "Don't you trust me?"
It is nearly 5am here and I still have not been to bed. Chronic insomniac that I am!
Wishing you all the best and WARM Hugs~ Aniko :)
