I like a lot how you 'use' and how you 'play' with liquit, the results are clear magic and so here, PSing or on at the background the result is that the bottles are just in line as falling with there liquits, nice shapes at the freezed water and beautiful colors too! Well that is art and very pro too!!!

Well, that's quite some comment, Doyle! Many thanks! It is very much appreciated, as always.
As to the lighting, I used a 500W halogen lamp placed just below the lens and angled directly towards the bottles. I had been doing this against a white wall in an attempt to get a white background. But it just wasn't going right, what with the marks on the wall, the shadows and other difficulties. So I waited until it was dark, spun the whole setup through 90 degrees and opened up the garage door. Ha, now it's going to be a black background!
All of which means that my original concept (which first mutated into FireWater) has still not materialised...

AJ -- talk to you when you get some time. By defintion it is high contrast even if there was no effect applied and all done with "magic" light. Quite beautiful.

Jan: interesting, I hadn't thought of this as high contrast. I guess the effect may be apparent because of the black background, which is pure "night" apart from the removal of the strip of wood the bottles were super-glued onto.
Sorry I'm not around much at present, but I will catch up eventually...
