Beautiful castle, I guess you can get a better view from this particular angle during the Winter. The clump of trees, a pleasant sign of Spring, tries its best to hide the view from it. But as a matter of fact, it only draws the eye closer to it, and makes the beholder curious for more? The green/blue tonal palette is very soothing, and conveys a sense of peace and harmony. A few details could be improved with only very little editing work: 1 ? decentring of the horizon by cropping half the sky above the towers, thus emphasising a landscape format. 2 ? a 1? rotation of the image to the right, to correct the slight tilt. 3 ? some colour saturation and adjustment of contrast, to increase the colour impact. 4 ? cloning out a few distracting specs here and there, for a perfect finish. While I was at it, I got carried away and designed a new frame! LOL (you can see the result here) I hope you don't mind my taking these liberties with your work, but I found this landscape rather inspiring? ;-)) Marie

For a better composition you could crop a bit on top and straighten the horison by rotating the image a little bit to right. It's a very nice nature shot, with interesting building and beautiful nature around.

Hi there. It's nice to see some more pics of welsh castles. I also live in Wales (Pembrokeshire) and love taking castle pictures. Regarding the verticals - I also have trouble with strange angles. I put it down to the age of the buildings, it's almost impossible to get them all straight.

Nice greens. I wonder what kind of lens you used, or if you were at maximum zoom as you have a little distortion in the verticals of the castle. That is really just an observation mind you, not an issue.
