Man, this image is just unbelievably sharp. It almost feels like I'm looking at it through 3-D glasses. The tonal range is excellent as well. Tremendous image Christian.

Thanks to all for comments and suggestions. There is definitely water under the bridge, but it is frozen. The hot spot is the sun itself, very hard to avoid it being washed out. As for details in the shadows, I've just realized how set apart are the Macintosh 1.8 gamma and the PC 2.2. I work with the first, but I'm using a PC now and the picture looks so much darker, it's amazing. I'll have to check that.

Hi Christian, Good choice to go with B&W on this image. What an interesting bridge and so SHARP. The shadows work well on the snow/ice. IMHO, a little more burning in of the shadows and the 'hot' spot on teh left top would give a stronger image. (and probably a touch darkening of the sky under the bridge.) Nice though.

Well balanced exposure, details in shadows are still visible. I can't see any water under the bridge is it true?
