About We've had days of continuous rain. Thought I could brighten things by shooting with an IR filter. Only this time, I preset the White Balance on my red jacket. No channel swap is involved here, only a colour boost.

Sally, a further experiment under a sunny sky taught me that the effect holds more to the weather conditions here than the mere use of a red fabric to WB on. Cloudy sky and wet pavement seem to be responsable.

I'm going to have to buy a red jacket now!
Very nice effect - and no channel swapping - great stuff!

Oh ... unusual vision, indeed, and SO beautiful! The road looks almost like a golden river. IR magic at its best, resulting in exquisite tones.

Christian, go buy many more Red jackets! This is so very beautiful...Christmas has come early. Did you know before hand that you'd get the colour gold?
You almost have another picture here as well - a low crop keeping just the lower portions leaves you interesting abstract lines of white and gold. The pity is it doesn't quite spell 'H' :)

Gold and silver. I don't think I've seen anything like this before.

Wow superbe photo IR..
Fabrice

Christian this is very nice. I really like the effect. A very true IR. Have you tried setting the white balance in CS when opening the image in RAW?? Maybe y ou are not shooting these in RAW format. I like this very much. Don.

This is a truly phantastic shot, Christian. The use of the IR filter gives it a complete new dimension, a mixture of winter and wet fall. Very good composition, and technically perfect as always.

Regards, Markus
