About Taken at the Montgomery Pinetum, in Cos Cob, CT

The GEC is located within the Montgomery Pinetum, a registered historic site and public park in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich. It is surrounded by a lush forest of 102 acres of wooded trails, majestic trees, and a broad variety of unusual specimen plantings and vibrant wildflowers. The Pinetum was formerly the estate of Colonel Robert Montgomery, a successful businessman and avid horticulturist. Colonel Montgomery collected rare conifers on his estate and in 1947 donated 200 specimen trees to the New York Botanical Garden, which transplanted them from the Montgomery Pinetum to the NYBG. He also founded the Fairchild Tropical Garden in Coral Gables, Florida.

On the other side of the bridge there is a small waterfall, I WILL PUT THE PICTURE BELOW. The colors here also look like the Fall colors.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion Carsten, your Idea sounds interesting, do you mean to just crop the picture differently or to do something to it in PS.? I really don't know anything about any type of manipulation, I really need to learn alot. Alison

This is my favourite of your recent uploads. Very nice, calm scenery, beautiful the natural colors (I wont change them as proposed below). But what I consider is a crop for a more eccentric placement of the bridge. Usually, I hate those crop proposals, but I think a sacrific at the right side for a square format would do no harm and place the bridge out of the "dead center", what is sometimes a bit boring. Just an idea. What do you think of it ?

Great shot Alison... the colours are superb. I like your composition too, putting the full height of the trees in empahsises their height, especially with having the bridge below! Good reflections too.... well done!
