Chris, you have been a warm an embracing friend for almost as long as I've been a member of usefilm. (almost two years now)
You've looked at some of my earlier work that I posted as a new member so I thought I would return the favor.
I find this one in particular to be a unique, one of kind treasure that I found when looking in your portfolio.
This is a work of art!! Thank you again

Incredible composition. Black and white was the perfect choice for this.

This is a super-shot imo, but the title nearly destroys the emotional impact.

Brrrr... I don't like snow... So I can't understand why I look at this and feel that the mood is so great! It looks so nice standing there with the snow around! Really a wonderful shot, also so well composed!

Outstanding capture here! Quiet and moody scene. Seems like a painting to me. The only suggestion here, AXE the framing. Far too distracting in my opinion. Otherwise very nice.

A lot of work went into this. The shot I started off with wasn't even worth a second look, but I liked the figure, umbrella and railing in front of the sea. So I cropped it first; then I got rid of the washed out sky, replacing it with a more moody example; coloured the two white panels of the umbrella; added noise, then erased a good percentage of it; added gaussian blur to the noise; then turned the whole thing b & w. I then ran a high pass filter and used curves to adjust the contrast, before adding the frame and title ~ which I'm sorry some of you didn't like!! Hope this helps! Thanks for all your encouraging comments. Kind regards, Chris.

Sweet shot!! Nicely composed and with a bit of an abstract feel. The tones and textures are terrific! The black frame is good, but the lettering is a little distracting. One of my favorites of yours, Chris!

i love raining/snowing pictures, and this is one of the best i have seen, the only thing i don't like is the border and the font,.the font looks too cartoonish for the photo i think, and i think if you loose the border all together it would have more of an impact......sidmouth UK?....great shot.
