Excellent way to remember Nov. 11. I have some of my fathers medals from WWI. I just read in the paper yesterday where there are only 3 known USA veterans of WWI still living. Soon it will be like that for WWII. Thanks for sharing. Obviously from the medals your father was very involved in the war. Del.

It is a very good macro with all the texture of the bands and the metalic details and reflections on the medals - the ones in the top row a bit better than the ones in the bottom row. (BTW, why is that? the distance was approximately the same, I assume, and so the focus should be also the same? :-/ ) On the top row the medal on the left has some blueish reflections of lower "fidelity", but still it is the top row for me that wins over the two.
A day of remembrance is a day of human beings. Those who were at the front those days would advice us now to battle on words rather, than on guns. If those people say that, they know what they're talking about. And so the remembrance turns to legacy.
My best wishes, Dave.
Nick

Hey interesting image Dave. I can't imagine what it might have been like to be in such a horrendous time in our history. My Dad was a Marine in the south pacific and won't talk about it at all. I am amazed that he survived when i read what they went through over there.
