I should have known that ZZ Top had it bigger, or what? ;-)
Anyway, Doyle, thanks a lot for the info in your reply. Definitely I belong to those wanting them back as original as they could be, except for the engine.
Much like bringing back some of the nice features of old cameras, and that just out of practical reasons more than any kind of sheer nostalgy.
Now, where is that old nice LP of them? (No nostalgy at all, as you see. ;-))

Thanks Nick . . . it does resemble it a tad (ZZ Top's car) but it was much smaller than theirs. They don't make them anymore but there has been a trend to emulate the style with some newer model cars like the PT Cruiser . . . and some people want to make them a restored vehicle for contemporary use . . . while some want to restore them to original condition . . . we had both here!

Forbid point-and-clicks! Immediately! ;-)
I think too that such objects are best suited for perfecting exposure and lighting, Doyle! Too bad I missed most such shows in summer here. :-(
And yes! Yes! What a cool car! Somehow it reminds me of the afterburner of ZZ Top. But as always, they don't make them anymore - or do they? Imagine such a look with a modern engine! It wouldn't have to be a beast with infinite hp - just not burn oil like nothing. BTW, what company is that?
Cheers,
Nick

Thanks very much Nick. The event (predictably) was a crowded one and I think he was shooting cars too . . . though with a point and click. Marny and I did get some respect and I was lucky to get more shots with fewer people. That guy may be one of the few who has a photo of ME getting a photo.
But like you said . . . better to get a shot than not at all. Gave me more practice on exposure and lighting for this one!
...And what a cool car!

The clarity of the shapes and the sexy coloring and curves of that oldie are a delight to see, Doyle, especially as you caught the metal reflections just right! It looks so great that one forgots about all (really small) problems like that guy that of course had to stand there behind the car! (Shooting should be not only for images sometimes ;-))
The amazing etails of the engine supply a touch of study to this very aestetic depiction of the car.
Great!

sorry...must have been a typo, yeah...a typo that's it!
what do you mean "flower child"?...as in an actual flower child, or...as in, I like to shoot flowers?...which is it, cuz I'm too young to be an actual flower child...just a toddler I was (well, maybe a wee bit older than that)!

Dear Robin:
The BACKGROUND??? What would be better, ya' think? How about on a rock, isolated amongst the waves in the Pacific?? LoL! The man wouldn't even let me touch HIS car . . . probably thought the flash could damage it!! Todd was right . . . and so is your agreement with him . . . amazing (genius) exposure!! By the way . . . I think 'Old Fogie' and not 'Old Fart' was MY terminology. Hmmmm . . . elder, huh? Easy 'flower child' . . . I have pennies older than you! :)
