The pose and the puppy are both very cute. Your niece is obviously so pleased to have the new puppy and loves him. The puppy seems so content to be cuddled in his new home. It is a fabulous shot.

I have two new pup too.. but not as big as this one you have... I like the way she carries the puppy, pretty soon she won't be able to carry this pup anymore... very nice capture, i like the way the pup is looking at the camerea...

Awwwwww! Cute as all get out! The composition is perfect and I really like the tonal range and choice of B&W. The top of puppy's head is a tad bit blown out but you have to be able to draw your eyes away from that cute face to notice it! ;)
....It was awfully nice of them to get a puppy just so you could get all those oh so cute pictures!

IMO this is one of the best B&W shots I have seen from you. The composition is wonderful! But the best thing about it as far as I'm concerned is the way the dark out of focus background emphasises the detail in the girls hair and the softness of the puppy. I just noticed a little burn out at the top of the puppies head, but that doesn't detract too much for me. I am very partial to this kind of toning in B&W so maybe I am a little biased.
