Thanks Roger. Yes, it would have been nice if the mountain were closer here.

Greetings from another ex-pat in Japan. I know this street quite well.
Amazing what they can put into those little phones.

Nice effect. I can imagine John Coffey slowly walking down this path.

Have you been here when the lake is full?

Thanks, guys.
You're right, Joggie. That dead space at the left bothers me. I didn't think I could crop it without making the picture too narrow. But I just realized maybe I could try some stretching tricks. Here's what I did:

Thank you Mr. Alaei. However this is not a rare moment in Delhi. It's very common.
I saw your work. Very fine photos there!

I'm glad you were there to immortalize it before it decomposes. Good job. Would like to see more of this.

Nice shot.
I've often seen this in the US. I wonder if there's some meaning behind it.

I posted this photo a few minutes ago and somehow didn't look right when I saw it here.
I decided to delete it and rework it some more.

Thanks Noam and Renato.

The composition is good and the shot too, but I don't like the colors and the light. With a little edit with photoshop it could be a lot better.

Renato Renato 22021 bellagio Italy {K:5387} 1/3/2006
nice and colored street shot.

Amazing.
I might have backed up a little and positioned the window a little to the right so it's not so centered. I'd like to see a little more of the wall to the left.

But still very nice!

Good subtle use of color, Joanna. I used to live in Setagaya, by the way. Now I'm in Yokohama.

Gabriela, thanks for the kind words.
I was surprized to see you also live in Yokohama. I've been living in Okurayama (on Toyoko line) for three years.
Anyway, I enjoyed your gallery very much, especially the fall scenes and the three colors of Fuji-san.
You can take a look at my Japan photos on my website. I'm sure you'll recognize some of them: http://www.h5.dion.ne.jp/~jmurray/

Cheers,

Jim

Funny how it looks like solid plastic. I've been wanting to try this kind of shot. How do you time it so right? Just chance?

Glad I can see the original. Still, I'll probably never look at an iris the same way again.

I didn't like the bikes being there, but maybe they do add something to it afterall.
