Many people have made the comparison to Jessica Rabbit...however, no Photoshop was required for this picture.

A beautiful portrait...the catchlights being exactly centered create a kind of "doll eyes" look...just a nit...nice work!

This is a pleasant portrait. I might try cropping it vertically, avoiding the dark triangle bottom left and including only one arm (I think the different jewelry on the arms is a bit distracting). Let's see more from this series!

Emily,
I'd like to see this pose shot with you sitting on a straightback chair (like a kitchen table chair) on a seamless white or dove gray background...
Suggestion: Pin a sheet up on your red bumpy wall...

Ah Emily, you are advancing so quickly...and only 15 or 16 years old! This is a great pose and expression...your hands are expressive for such a young woman. Think of your portraits like sculpture...how much can you take away from them while still capturing the image you are after. If I were "sculpting", I would ensure the background was a light absorbent material that would not detract from the image with specular highlights. I would remove jewelry that didn't really add to the image (perhaps the little orange thing). Finally, I would frame it just a little wider (or tighter, see example) to reduce the visual tension caused by your shoulders being sliced off. Keep shooting Emily, you are becoming one of my favorite photographers!

Allan,
It might be the scan, but unless her eyes are very dark brown, they look a bit flat. More light from a soft light source will bring them to life without washing out her skin tone.

The tone and composition of this is really nice. I'm not familiar with the Wisner, but the corners of the image feel a little distorted...maybe its just the symmetrical angles...

Emily,
You have such a classicly beautiful face, I hope you are considering modeling in addition to photography. As Marc commented, the blur is interesting, but a razor sharp portrait of you would be more interesting. Keep shooting!

Hey Vivek, how'd you get a camera in? I've seen Tori twice live (in Atlanta) and they search bags on the way in... Anyway, I completely understand the mood you were trying to convey with this...Tori IS her music and unless you've seen her live, the sensuality that is pouring out of her is difficult to comprehend...
