We had a wonderful day. He is such a trouper. He'll turn three in December. We climbed to the top of one of the higher sand dunes. It took us over an hour, stopping and resting along the way. I had an ice-water filled camel back hydration unit. He loved sipping water from Grandpa's drink thing. He made it the whole way, not complaining at all (OK, maybe just a tiny bit). It was a beautiful autumn day. Nice white capped waves on the lake. I packed a picnic lunch of ham sandwiches, chips, drinks and cupcakes. I wouldn't trade today for anything. I got lots of nice pictures and even more wonderful memories.
Aren't grandkids just the greatest, Dave? This is a great capture, and, if it's indicitive of the day that you had, then it was a good one! When my granddaughter was this age (she's nine now) I used to love to go for walks with her and was always amazed at how many treasures she could come up with. I miss those times...and this shot sure does bring back memories! Kathy
