About
I discovered this little world of tree frogs three days ago. I was walking through a stand of button bush on the edge of a marshy area and noticed all these little tree frogs just a jumping all over the place. If you weren't paying attention you would have thought they were grasshoppers or something. I was shooting a little brown frog (about the size of my little fingernail) when one of these green guys (maybe the size of a double peanut shell) jumped on the same leaf and tried to catch and eat the little brown frog. A fascinating little world. I tried to get one of these guys catching a fly or something, but the sun was setting and no real eating action took place while I watched. I'll continue to try and get one in the act of feeding. Anyway, what a beautiful little creature. I loved the way the sun glinted off his skin and the warm golden color of the sunlight falling on the leaves. I hope you like it.
Thank you Dave. You and I have very similar tastes. . . butterflies, flowers, and things of beauty in the world around us. Very nice shots in your portfolio.
You make me feel so guilty when you comment on my shots. I very very much appreciate your comments, but I'm afraid I'm not being very neighborly by not returning the favor.
I took a peek in your portfolio and WOW! what stunning work. I'll try and comment on some of yours when I get freed up a bit. I just don't have much free time for review shots, etc. right now. Trying to sell some of my things, establish relationships with galleries, etc. and getting ready for some shows in the future.
When my sister was little she used to love to go out in our grandparents yard and catch these little guys. Brings back memories! Nicely captured! Kathy
Good about and capture Dave, Im glad to see this was in the wild, as when I first saw the thumbnail, I was thinking maybe an aquarium setup. Good luck on getting these guys again,
