This was taken with my new D2X. It was very, very bright, so I desaturated the image by selecting the poppy, using the inverse option in Photoshop and then desaturating the background. Then I inversed it again and desaturated the poppy, but less than the background.
Absolutely and positively worth every single penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a difference that you can hardly believe it. :) Must purchase one immediately!!!! Lucky you for Utah trip!!!
sarah, new D2X? i'm jealous ;^) how do you like it? is it worth it? i've been waffling but i think i need to make the jump too. i managed to get a slot on one of thom hogan's workshops in utah this fall and i think i'd like to have one for that trip. what do you think?
