I like the second image best. Not because of the bug centering in the first, but because I think the background pattern in the second works better. I'm not crazy about bug pictures, but if I had to have one this would be it. Nice work!!

Great shot, Sarah, exquisite detail. That's an awesome lens you have there. I like your originally posted image better than the one you later posted. I don't find that the image suffers by having the dragonfly centered. Bravo!

Very nice macro shot. I myself prefer the vertical shot. I think the centering is ok in this shot because it is not dead center, the wing span fits, and the white twig curves which draws the eye away a bit from the centeredness.

Beautiful photo of the dragonfly Sarah! Did you use a macro-lens? I think so! I think the composition could be better if you put your subject a little more out of the centre. The white vertical line even makes that stronger. Your new lens looks absolute okay with me.... great colours and lightning here! My best regards,
