Oh you did well here. Much better than my one. You must have got quite close here. Well done. Could have also cropped of a 1/5th from the bottom - possibly.

Hi Alison. Beautiful capture you have here! Very nicely composed and very good lighting. And the bird did the posing too, pridely facing the sky!!! Very nice. The white tiny lines, I think I agree with Joe, it comes from the processing inside the camera or came from the sensor, 'cos when you look closer, it's everywhere on the object where it coinsides with the bright sky (like high contrast-low contrast things). But it's not so obvious though.

I think that you did a superb job with the composition and the exposure. Wonderful capture. I think that the halo Joe is talking about (which I also did not noticed until I look closer) seems to be the light reflecting off his shiny feathers because it is consistent from head to tail. Good capture. Regards, Andree

Hi Joe, wow I didn't notice that. No sharpening done by me just zoomed when I tiook the photo and cropped it to load it. Interesting. Thank you for your comment.

It's a nicely composed photo. There seems to be a slight white sharpening halo around the bird. Could be in-camera processing. But it's a good shot.
